If you have tried bunion pads, then you know how disappointing they can be since they don’t stay put, and do nothing for positioning the big toe to its natural alignment. If you have tried rigid bunion splints, then you know how the discomfort and pain can often be worse than the bunion pain itself! And what about those toe spacers for bunions? Those aren’t easily worn in sneakers or boots and most people find them terribly uncomfortable. So we present to you, the bunion treatment introduced by fellow bunion sufferers and time tested by bunion sufferers. We are not doctors but our list of medical offices that recommend Bunion Booties to their patients is growing by the day. We must have done something right.

Do Medical Professionals Believe You Can Treat Bunions without Surgery?*
Many professionals like Dr. Emily Splichal and Dr. Oz and think splint devices can often help prevent bunions from getting worse. We all love Dr. Oz and trust his opinion but what does he say about the effectiveness of non-surgical bunion treatments vs. surgery? On his show he discusses a variety of bunion splints, and also warns against deciding on surgery for the wrong reasons. We trust you’ll find the best one for your foot and fit preference! Bunion Bootie is an around-the-clock bunion treatment for bunions with a mild or moderate deformity. The Bootie applies an evenly distributed, yet gentle pull on the big toe and temporarily corrects the big toe position. Bunion Bootie provides immediate bunion pain relief of your stressed toes and bunion pain. Bunion Bootie also provides a stable barrier from friction in footwear. This friction adds to the discomfort we all experience with bunions and left untreated, can result in swelling and bursitis near the big toe joint. Looking for more support to validate the use of bunion splints? Both the Mayo Clinic, MedicineNET, and Harvard.edu all suggest trying conservative solutions such as bunion splints before resorting to bunion surgery as your choice bunion treatment.

Can Bunion Bootie Help You?
When used as directed, Bunion Booties can help anyone with bunion pain that has not yet reached an extreme stage of deformity. Created with the help of the medical community, Bunion Bootie is the first-of-its-kind in bunion treatments today. Please visit our “Bunions“ page to view the various stages of deformity and accompanying bunion pictures to determine if Bunion Booties can help you, especially if you are seeking a non-surgical treatment option for your bunions. Often times, without treatment, bunions can alter one’s gait and cause an increase in stress and weight on the big toe.
The Bunion Bootie soft splint can relieve this stress and reduce the bunion pain associated with the swelling and friction from footwear. Additionally, by guiding and bracing the big toe back to its natural position you can begin to strengthen the tiny muscles of the toe required to maintain the proper position on its own, thereby reducing the pain of bunions for the long term. If nothing is done about the bunion and bunion pain, it’s likely to worsen over time, typically leading bunion sufferers toward a very painful surgery and even more painful bunion surgery recovery experience. Many of those who use non-surgical bunion treatments like the Bunion Bootie report an improvement to their condition.

Can Surgery for Bunions be Avoided?
Most people consider bunion surgery (bunionectomy) as a last resort due to the long and painful recovery time that can take from 3 months (if you are lucky!) to 12 months. Most patients aren’t able to drive a car for at least 2 months following bunion surgery. Other highly undesirable outcomes of bunion surgery include infections and nerve damage, a weakened big toe, pain transferred to other parts of the foot, and bunion surgery that has to be repeated because the condition returns. If you do have surgery but go back to your old ways and pointed heels, it’s very likely the condition will reappear. Additionally, if you smoke, have diabetes, or are generally in poor health, surgery for bunions can pose additional health risks.
Since bunion surgery is usually only contemplated when the pain becomes unmanageable, most people are willing to try anything to help them reduce the pain. That’s where Bunion Bootie comes in. Bunion Bootie is a natural alternative that helps you manage your bunion in order to prevent extreme tactics such as surgery. It can help prevent further irritation and rubbing against the bunion. This in turn will reduce the swelling often associated with bunions, the same swelling that can often lead to bursitis. Once the swelling and irritation is reduced, the pain should be much more manageable if not gone altogether.
