Selecting Your Size Bunion Bootie – No Measuring Tape, No Problem!
Sizing Your Bunion Bootie Splint: iPhone Measurement App
Do you suffer from bunions? Interested in ordering one of our Bunion Booties? When it comes to ordering bunion splints it is important to make sure you are taking an accurate measurement. For most of us, a tape measure is not something we just have lying around for easy use. Luckily, however, iPhone now features a Measurement App which is capable of measuring square and rectangular objects, check the level of something or even measure the distance between two points (like your foot)! Although there have been third-party measurement apps for iPhone, the new Measure app is built right into the iPhone. The Measure app uses the Apple augmented reality framework known as ARKit to measure real-world objects using the iPhones built-in camera.
When you first open the Measure app, you will need to calibrate it by moving the iPhone around in a circular motion. The Measure app can easily detect square and rectangular objects such as a door, sign or even poster providing automatic dimensions, however, for measuring your foot we recommend using the feature to measure between two distances.
Measuring Your Foot Using iPhone Measure App
When it comes to measuring your foot for a bunion splint, we recommend using the individual measurement feature. We recommend measuring your foot in the morning by standing up completely barefoot, you’ll need to wait for a white circle to appear and then point your camera at the tip of your big two where we’ll start the measurement. As you move your iPhone towards the heal of your foot, a yellow dotted line will appear and you will be able to see the measurement in real-time. Once you reach the heal of your foot, tap on the end or even the plus sign at the bottom of the screen.
Our Bunion Bootie size guide is larger due to many Bunion Bootie wearers suffering from other conditions such as diabetes and arthritis which can make a tight-fitting Bunion Bootie uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. For those with narrow feet, mild bunions and healthy feet that intend on wearing their Bunion Bootie during the day, we recommend going with one size smaller. As you continue to wear your Bunion Bootie over the years it will relax but is not supposed to stretch out at all, we recommend starting with wearing it 1-2 hours a day and working your way up. For those that plan on wearing their Bunion Bootie while sleeping, we recommend not wearing a smaller size.
We have a 30 day no questions asked return policy for a full product refund. Please let us know if you are not satisfied with your Bunion Bootie.
